The word “Satyanarayan” is an amalgamation of two words, ‘Satya’ means truth, ‘Narayan’ means the highest and ultimate form of being or the supreme man that means Lord Vishnu is the personification of the truth. Shree Satyanarayan Katha is a puja or worship which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu (the Preserver) the God who is responsible for maintenance of this universe, one among the great Hindu trinities.
